Day after the US HALF, SF

3 Nov

aaah, i did it.  and it was painful, but well worth it.  my time was 2:14:10.  not as well as i wanted to, but i expected it since i didn't train.  now i know why you should always try to run at least 7 or more miles once before a half.  after i got off of the Golden Gate, my left knee felt like it was going to give out on me.  it hurt if i pulled the knee up all the way.  i think it was because i was pounding on pavement for 2 miles and going faster than i've ever gone in my life.  damn adrenaline always messes me up.  i started to walk between the 11 and 12 mile.  walk, run, walk, run. 😦   but i made it, and i was so glad it was over with. hahahaha.  i'll definitely train better next time.  the hills weren't as intimidating as i thought it would be.  probably as hard as the jungle run.  here is my map.  next year ladies, let's do this together!!

anyways, i woke up super early this morning…4AM.  i was just sitting there wondering if i should go to the gym and get it over with.  but eeeh, i'll go during lunch.  lift some weights and walk on the treadmill.
7:00 – coffee and banana
8:50 – 1 hard boiled egg.
11:00 – another hard boiled egg
11:30 – worked on biceps and different arm workouts.  then i walked for 20 minutes.
gosh i didn't have time to go get a lunch, so opted to leave early.
4:00 – had some pork and candy…i couldn't help it.  i should just throw all the candy away
7:00 – peruvian rice with pork.
