Detox Day 4 – 4/29/10

29 Apr

5:00 – Workout #1

  • Warm up: 1000m row
  • OHS – 63#(3)- 73#(3) – 78#(3) – 83#(1)- 88#(1)-93(#)
  • AMRAP in 8 Min of 4 HSPU(Sub), 8 KB Swings(1 pood), 12 Abmat sit ups – 6 + 15 reps

Been so busy working and trying to vacation plan at the same time.  I forgot to eat breakfast

12:45 – my beet apple salad and some egg white omelet
4:00 – munched on fruits
7:00 – leftover zucchini spinach soup and sweet potatoes.  i also made bo kho for tran, and picked off a tiny little piece of pork just to taste it.  it was my first time making this authentic viet dish, and it's all PALEO!!  WOO HOO!!  too bad i can't eat rice w/ it.  its ok..just eat veggies!

Detox Day 3 – 4/28/2010

5:15 – Workout #1

  • 5K run

I was busy this morning that I forgot to eat lunch.  So I just fasted till after my second workout.

11:20 – Workout #2
  • 4 rounds: 400 m run, 50 sit ups

12:45 – My egg white omelet and some of the spinach zucchini soup

5:00 – i snacked on something, but forgot what…oh and i had a small piece of beef jerky.  i just put it in my mouth w/o thinking that it was meat.  oh well, im proud that i didn't use it as an excuse to eat more.
7:00 – beet apple salad w/ dried cranberries

5:00 – Workout #1

  • Deadlifts: 105#(5), 115#(5), 135#(5), 155#(1), 165#(1), 185#(1), 195#(1)
  • For Time: 800 m run, 50 wall balls(14#, 8 ft target), 50 box jumps(20")
Tim wanted me to use a heavier ball and work on the front squat of the wall balls, instead of trying to hit the higher target.  Hips Hips Hips!!

10:00 – egg white omelet w/ kale and spinach

1:40 – cauliflower fried rice w/ broccoli, carrots, and chard stir fry

5:00 – some grapes and mango

7:00 – I made a zucchini and spinach soup from paleochix.com.  Pretty good, although it could of used some more onions.  It was all pureed together.  Had sweet potatoes on the side

Reset Detox Day 1 – 4/26/10

Okay, this weekend failed.  Had more than fruits and veggies during the weekend.  The non-paleo thing I ate was dim sum.  I didn't go overboard, and I didn't eat anything too starchy.

5:00 – Workout #1
  • 4 mile run.  Finished at 37 minutes, then walked for another 15 minutes

9:45 – egg white omelet w/ brussel sprouts, spinach, and kale

11:30 – Workout #2
  • 2.6 mile run outside.  Nice and easy.

1:00 – salad

5:00 – grapes and some mangos
7:00 – sweet potato fries and veggie stir fry in curry sauce

Detox Day 1 – 04/23/10

I made the mistake of weighing myself this morning.  NOT GOOD. I'm still burping up last night's dinner.  Not sure if it was the steak or pork, but BLEH!  I need to get my weight under control, so I have some sort of loss for the weigh in.  It's time to detox, and I need to make it past May 1st!!  LOL.  It's going to be hard w/ all the birthday parties that weekend, but I must resist.  I'm planning my meals out from now till next saturday.  I will come back and re-post in red, especially if I did not follow my detox as planned.

5:00 – Workout #1
  • AMRAP 10 Minutes of 7 20# DB Thrusters, 9 sit ups, 11 push ups: 8 rounds
  • 1 mile run

11:00 – grapes

11:30 – Workout #2
  • 2.47 mile run…easy peezy
1:30 – Didn't bring much in terms of food today.  All I have is cocido soup.  I will not eat the broth and only eat the veggies.

4:00 – grapes and strawberries
6:00 – guess im going to sushi o sushi tonight.  going to eat seaweed salad and tofu.

5:00 – Workout #1

  • OHS – 35#(5), 55#(5), 65#(5), 75#(3), 75#(3), 65#(3)
  • 7 RFT – 7 power snatches, 7 box jumps – 11:58.  Did the first two rounds rx'd(65#), but did the last 5 rounds @ 55#.  Form was not good the first two rounds.

12:15 – Bitched out of my second workout today.  Had a bowl of beef cocido soup.

3:45 – paleo kit, and grapes

7:00 – cauliflower fried rice w/ chicken sausage pieces.  had a piece of left over pork, a few slices of steak, and pulled pork that i made for saturday.  ATE WAY TOO MUCH!

5:15 – Workout #1

  • 3 RFT: 100 lunges, 50 squats, and 25 back extensions – 20:45
I don't know why this took me so long.  Legs were tired!  It was suppose to be 100ft walking lunges, but I didn't know how many lunges were equivalent to 100ft, so I just did 100 lunges.  Probably too much, but oh well!!

12:45 – leftover stir fry w/ two slices of pork tenderloin.  a handful of blueberries.

4:00 – paleo kit
6:45 – homemade cocido soup.  basically a beef soup w/ lots of veggies.  had some pork too.

5:00 – Workout #1

  • Deadlifts: 5-5-5-3-3-3, Worked on form at 155# for the last 3 sets
  • Uphill Fran: 400m row, 9 PU/Thrusters, 400m row, 15 PU/Thrusters, 400m row, 21 PU/Thrusters – 15:36
I was soooooooo not ready for the Fran workout, but it was a good one.  I planned on rowing afterwards, but I passed, since I did Fran.  LOL.

11:20 – Workout #2

  • 5 Rounds: 400 m run, 50 sit ups

12:45 – 1 egg white and some coconut water.  Going to eat my salad soon.

4:00 – 1 hard boiled egg 
6:00 – chili lime pork tenderloin w/ brussel sprouts and broccoli.  also had some of spaghetti meat sauce.  a couple pieces of mango and strawberries

I had the best time this weekend with the girls.  Great food, great entertainment, and great company!  But, I did learn a lot about my eating habits, and why I cannot binge anymore.  My stomach cannot handle it.  I eat with my eyes!  There is no control, when there should of been.  Let's just say, I'm not going to feel guilty about eating a bite of cheesecake or a piece of bread, because it won't hurt my healthy lifestyle.  I just can't go overboard.  I need to learn how to have some self control, because it's not worth the pain in the end!

5:30 – Workout #1
  • 60 minutes on treadmill – First 47 minutes was a 5 mile run

2:00 – Workout #2

  • 3.76 mile run.  I walked a quarter mile at 2.76, just to relax a bit.  My time was still faster than last time. 🙂 36:22

And yes, I haven't eaten anything today. It's called Intermittent Fasting.  I think I was suppose to eat primal food before doing it, but instead I ate all that crap.  OH WELL, I'll try it w/ primal food next time.  

5:30 – 1 hard boiled egg
7:00 – chili lime pork tenderloin w/ stir fry veggies and sweet potatoes

Today is CRITICAL!  LOL.  I weighed myself this morning, and the numbers look good.  BUT, I have a long day ahead of me w/ a sushi lunch w/ coworkers and going to the SJ SHARKS game tonight.  Must be good!!!

5:00 – Workout #1
  • Warmup: 400 m run
  • Dirty Flirty Thirty Birthday WOD for Jan Marie.  It was basically Filthy Fifty, but cut down to 30 reps.  Finished in 18:25 rx'd.
6:40 – Green tea w/ ginger
7:20 – a small serving of sweet potato and crab meat mixed together.
11:30 – Sushi Tomi – Bento box w/ chicken teriyaki(sauce on side,so i dipped a bit), and hamachi sashimi
5:30 – bbq pork
6:30 – chicken cobb salad from peggy sue's
9:30 – handful of roasted peanuts, and a piece of teriyaki chicken(BAD BAD BAD).  I was at the sharks game though.
