Its my FRIDAY! – 09/30/2010

30 Sep

No workout today. I just didn’t feel like it. Sleep was ok. I slept from 10 to 4. Then I was in and out of sleep from 4-5:15.

9:45 – Breakfast: 2 eggs with brussel sprouts and green beans

12:30 – Lunch: I brought lunch, but then Jan needed to pick up Chipolte, so I got a salad from there. YUMMY! I only ate half of it too.
Here the before and after:

7:00-Dinner: Salmon from trader joes and green beans and bok choy.

Happy 3 Year Anniversary Hubby! – 09/29/2010

YAY, today is our Anniversary! We celebrated over the weekend, and tonight we are going to a birthday dinner for one of our good friends. We promised we would celebrate our anniversary again without a baby, and without friends once we find the time. It’s going to be a busy and stressful two weeks with the new job and planning Mason’s 1st birthday party.

5:00 – CFPA

Strength: Deadlift: 103#(5), 153#(3), 183#(3), 203#(3), 223#(1), 233#(1), 238#(1). HELL YA! 15# PR from last week!

Metcon: Boy, do I think my metcon is suffering. Don’t know why, but it took me over 17 minutes to finish this workout, and I didn’t do it RX’d.

200 m Farmer’s walk(35#db each side), 10 burpees, 20 kb swings(35#), 30 abmat situps, 40 squats, 50 DUs, 40 squats, 30 abmat situps, 20 kb swings(35#), 10 burpees, 200 m FW = 17:55

8:20AM – Breakfast: 3 fried eggs in butter, with some roasted brussel sprouts and green beans. I’m sippin on some black coffee too.

12:30PM – Lunch: Spinach salad with cucumbers, bell peppers, avocado, grape tomatoes,and a beef patty.  No dressing.

4:10 – Snack: Getting a little hungry, so I should nip it in the bed.  2 celery stick with some chicken breast.

5:30 – Snack: 1 serving of applegate chicken breast deli meat and half of a quarter of avocado, lol.

7:30 – chicken & ribs and salad at bj’s brewery.  i probably ate too much protein.

Tuesday Ramblings – 09/28/2010

AAAH, yesterday really stressed me out! I hate trying on dresses, and not finding a good one. Something was wrong. Either it fit well at the hip, but not at the shoulders or vice versa. It just got me really discouraged, and I want to see instant results. I have to remember to be patient.

5:30 – Ran 2.9 miles. Geez, this did not feel good at all. I was hot and tired. My legs felt stiff. I ran the first mile, walked a few minutes, then ran again. I was on the treadmill for a total of 30 minutes.

8:00 – Breakfast: Sipping on some coffee. I’m eating the last of my flank steak with leftover asparagus and 1/2 cup of spinach.

12:50 – Lunch: Spinach salad with bell peppers, tomatoes, and cucumbers.  1 beef patty and 1/4 of an avocado.  No dressing.

3:00 – Snack: I got hungry and had two small chicken thighs with 1/4 of an avocado

5:00 – Snack: Boy, am I pooped when I get home.  I get hungry!!  I had chicken breast deli slices from applegate.

8:00 – Dinner: I was really hungry, but I didn’t give in!   My chicken finally finished, and I had 1 thigh/leg with a very small serving of veggies and 1/2 cup of raw spinach.

YAY, 4 day work week – 09/27/2010

Sleep was good. I went to bed around 830 and woke up at 345. Took Natural Calm, but I’m not sure if it had any affect. LOL.

5:00 – CFPA

Strength – Thrusters: 63#(3), 73#(3), 83#(3), 93#(1), 103#(1), 108#(F) – YAY, I got a Thruster PR. Well, this is the first time we had a thruster cycle, but whatevs…the 103# felt really good. Not sure what happened to the 108#. I think I was leaning forward too much.

Metcon – 10->1 KB Swings(24KG) with 100 m sprint in between. 8:16..WOO HOO. I beat my previous time and the last time I did this, I was using the 20Kg Bell too!

8:30 – Breakfast: flank steak with roasted veggies.

FREAK! Its 12:30 and I just realized I forgot my burger patty!! I need to see if the cafeteria can just sell me meat! ggggrrr!

12:30 – Spinach salad with blackened chicken breast. **SIGH** I was looking forward to my hamburger patty. Here’s a pic of my chicken breast.

5:30: snack: 4 slices of turkey breast with 1/4 of an avocado

Time to REALLY buckle down! – 09/26/2010

Got up this morning at 4 again. Natural Calm didn’t really work, but I’ll try it again tonight.

8:00 – Roasted veggies with 5 slices of flank steak

12:00 – We bbq’ed some country pork ribs. I ate half a slab with Paleo BBQ sauce. I didn’t eat that many veggies because I was in a rush to head to the mall.

3:30 – Came home and ate more ribs.

Came home from the mall, and didn’t feel too great. I was trying on dresses at BCBG, and I went up to a size 4. It’s probably because of my lats, but my tummy was feeling really tight too! I really need to lose some inches.

7:00 – Asparagus/Beans salad courtesy of Sweet Cheeks! Here is the recipe! It was delicious!

I had a small beef patty with this.

Got up this morning at 4!!! I got some natural calm, so I’m going to take some of that tonight to see what happens.

7:30- Breakfast: a few pieces of flank steak with veggies

Ouch, I got diarrhea again! Very strange an I’m not sure what it is.

11:00 – Went to sonoma chicken coop and I had a shrimp avocado salad with no dressing or bacon.  Had a couple bits of tran’s chicken, and I was trying to scrape of the bbq sauce

4:00 – I was HUNGRY!  I had a small beef patty with some turkey deli meat slices

6:00 – Anniversary Dinner at Pampas Brazilian Restaurant!  I did pretty freakin’ good, even though I didn’t cut out the 25% of protein that Summer asked me too.  I had the Rodizio which is basically all you can eat protein.  Waiters come around asking you if you want a slice of different types of meat.  I tried everything, and the filet mignon and skirt steak were the best.  I liked the tiny chicken drumsticks too.  I also had lots of veggies.  I left the restaurant feeling full but not overwhelmingly stuffed.  If I had bread or dessert, I’d be really stuffed!

TGIF! – 09/24/2010

Sleep was ok. ABS are sore. It hurts to laugh, even if its just a giggle! OUCH. Hurts so good right?!


Strength – Pull-ups: 3(BW) – 3(3#), 3(5#), 1(8#), 1(12#), 1(15#-F). I was close to getting the chin over the bar with the last rep, but didn’t.

Metcon – Tabata KB Swings(20KB) and Abmat situps, then max DUs in 2 minutes: 148 total reps and 27 DUs. Pretty easy workout for a Friday, even though the abmat situps hurt bad.

8:40 – 3 fried eggs with a whole bunch of roasted veggies.

12:00- went to specialty’s cafe with some old coworkers and I had the Cobb salad without bacon cheese and dressing.

This might be a little TMI, but I got diaherria! OUCH!

430- chicken breast for snack

630- roasted chicken with veggies. Also had 1 hard boiled egg.
